Master Gardener Project receives Award

The Master Gardener project at Real Racine in Sturtevant was awarded a 2016 Racine Beautification Award from Racine in Bloom. The gardens not only enhance the beauty of the center and its surroundings, but also educate the public on gardening. The award commended the group for their work by stating that, “the butterfly garden is a welcoming garden not only to butterflies, but to Real Racine visitors as well.”  The Real Racine butterfly garden has also received waystation certification through Monarch Watch, which provides vital habitat to migrating monarch butterflies. Congratulations to the Master Gardener team at Real Racine!
