November 29th workshop – From Frustration to Fun

The Early Learning Series presents the workshop, “From Frustration to Fun”. The workshop will take place on Tuesday, November 29th from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the Ives Grove Auditorium (14200 Washington Ave.) in Sturtevant. This workshop provides an overview of the developing brain and how trauma impacts the stress response. Participants will experience activities to implement with children in a variety of age ranges.After participating on this interactive workshop, attendees will be able to:

  1. Increase awareness in trauma’s prevalence and gain a new understanding of challenging behaviors.
  2. Identify play activities to promote positive changes in children’s self-regulation.
  3. Obtain tools to develop and implement an action plan when child frustration arrives.

The workshop is open to child care providers, parents, grandparents, foster parents, and all caregivers of children. The workshop is free. Child care providers who would like to receive Wisconsin Registry Credit, there is a fee of $25. Advanced registration is required for this workshop. To register, please see the flyer below.
