“Real Racine” Master Gardener Project Receives Award

The Master Gardener project at Real Racine (Convention and Visitors Center in Sturtevant) has been awarded a 2016 Racine Beautification Award from Racine in Bloom!   A group of dedicated Master Gardeners have established gardens at the center not only to enhance the surroundings but to educate the public on gardening.  This group was commended for their work in creating a butterfly garden.  “The butterfly garden is a welcoming garden not only to butterflies, but to Real Racine visitors as well.”, commented Melissa Kaprelian-Becker, Racine 4th District County Supervisor/President of Discover Racine.  The Real Racine butterfly garden has received waystation certification through Monarch Watch.  Congratulations to the Master Gardener team at Real Racine!
