Annual Impact Report Released

We teach, learn, lead and serve, connecting people with the University of Wisconsin and engaging them in transforming lives and communities.

Did you know:

  • The Racine County Board partnered with UW-Extension to create the Youth In Governance Program which launched in 2014.
  • Nutrition educators made 14,725 teaching contacts in Racine County with the report highlighting outreach to a variety of learners.
  • Racine County 4-H has 237 volunteer leaders that support programming for 1010 youth involved in 4-H Community Clubs with examples describing Shooting Sports, Summer Clubs at COP Houses, and Tech Wizards.
  • Master Gardener Volunteers serving as Plant Health Advisers answered 1285 hotline calls in 2013. At the Garden of Giving volunteers grew 4,500 pounds of produce for the Racine County Food Bank.
  • Farm Succession Workshops reached 39 farmers representing 12 family farms, the Agriculture Clean Sweep collected 5,000 pounds of hazardous waste, and the Farm Fresh Atlas was compiled and distributed.
  • The Racine County Conference on Children with Incarcerated Parents featured preliminary research results from the Racine County Jail, and a section on incarceration-related family resources was added to the Family Resource Directory.
  • The Strengthening Families Program reached Latino middle school youth and their families through a community partnership, with participants improving family communication and combating negative peer pressure.
